DELL is committed to changing the way people think about Neurodiversity in the workplace and have experienced how this change provides real benefits for their company through increased creativity and diversity of thought.
HMEA and DELL recognize these unique individuals can have nontraditional career paths and experiences. Our collective goal is to help employers and applicants bridge the gap of a hiring process that does not identify these aptitudes and talents effectively. For the 2021 job opportunities, passion and potential are as important as experience and training; however, the expectation is that successful applicants would have some aptitude in the related areas below.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Get experience using technology
- Use data analytical methods
- Use mathematics to solve complex problems
- Practice programming languages
- Learn web development
- Participate in Software and Hardware Development/Testing
- Get familiarity with machine learning techniques and algorithms
Beginning in April 2021, the Dell Enterprise Technology Training Initiative is a two-week classroom-style program held virtually. Sample Dell Cohort Format
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Build social and communication skills
- Learn how to highlight their tech-focused skills in the application process
- Develop and refine a resume and personal brand
- Learn skills to improve workplace performance
- Present their skills directly to DELL hiring managers
- Learn skills to work remotely in a modern workplace
- Experience the culture of a cutting-edge global company
All cohort participants will receive a Certificate of Completion and can add this experience to their resumes. In the past, select participants in this cohort have been offered full paid internships at DELL which could lead to full-time employment.
