Family Interviews

"When our oldest son was diagnosed with Autism, our world was shattered. We felt scared, helpless and alone in our plight to do whatever we could to help our son. Then, just two short and frustrating years later, our other son was given the same dreadful diagnosis. Then we found HMEA. HMEA is a wonderful organization that has helped our entire family. With them we learn, grow and deal with the world of Autism. They go to extraordinary lengths to ensure that our children receive the finest and superior innovative support."

- John & Linda Rowley, Children's Services Division

"This is an incredible program for children and young adults who have many different special needs. The staff is quick to assess and meet the needs of each individual while making each of them feel good about themselves."

- Ken and Maryellen Fallon, Day Services Division

"My sister; Patricia has received residential support from HMEA for two years. Her transition from home care to residential support has been blessed with a caring staff, a family atmosphere and an opportunity to blossom into an active adult. It has been an adjustment for the entire family, but one that has been made easier by a group of individuals who look to create a positive and caring approach to the group home experience."
