Welcome to the Family Room!!!

HMEA’s Family Action Council was created to help facilitate collaboration amongst families regarding supports for their loved one with disabilities. They meet regularly striving to engage, enhance and empower the lives of all. Through these meetings terrific ideas have surfaced, which would be beneficial to so many families with members who are disable.

One idea that surfaced recently was providing a calendar of scheduled activities and events that are available in local communities or organizations. To see what is happening simply click the link on the side menu. The Calendar of Events is updated monthly.

In the future, the Family Action Council is planning to bring other family-friendly ideas to “The Family Room”, so make a note to check back often and see what interesting things are happening and how you and your family can benefit.
