Our diversity program is a foundation for all that we strive to do at HMEA. We offer training to all our employees to recognize and celebrate our differences. Our supervisors participate in more comprehensive training so that they can provide the most supportive working environment. We have work/life balance policies that respect and support employees’ individual life priorities and responsibilities.
We have developed a unique leave of absence policy specifically for employees who must travel out of the country for family obligations. We include same-sex domestic partners in our family leave policies, offer schedule changes for people who wish to return to school and offer paid time off for family and medical leave. Our employee newsletter highlights and celebrates all our differences.
