
Congratulations to these recipients of this year's HMEA Annual Awards...
The Eric Rodgers Memorial Award is given to an individual supported by the agency who has demonstrated significant personal accomplishment, who has overcome barriers and challenges with courage and determination. There will be three recipients - a child served through Children's Division, which includes TRACS, an adult served through Residential or Day Services, and a family served through Family Supports.

The HMEA Awardwill have two recipients – a supervisor in Residential, Day or Children's Services and a staff from a support department (Secretarial, Training, IT, Maintenance, Business Office, Medical, Clinical, Human Resources, other Admin staff). The qualifi- cations are an employee who can be counted upon for consistent outstanding contribution and who possesses energy, enthusiasm and commitment to high standards. The employee must have one year of service and be a strong team contributor.

The Team Award is given to a team that works very effectively together. The team can be of any composition – within a home or a unit, a support team, etc.
John B. Scott Boulevard Team
Shared Living Provider Award is for any Shared Living Provider who has significantly enriched the life of an individual receiving support and has demonstrated a commitment to the individual by supporting meaningful relationships, increasing community participation, and providing a home which has become a catalyst for positive personal growth and accomplishments.

The Outstanding Employee Award has two recipients for people served through Employment Services and TRACS, one who is an exemplary co-worker at a supported employment site and/or one who has most increased the number of hours worked in supported employment.

Citizens Award Given to people outside the agency who have made a significant contribution to the people we support.

The Board of Directors Award is given to three recipients – a direct support staff member from Residential, Day and Children's Services. Qualifications are an employee who has significantly enriched the lives of the people they support in the following areas – supporting meaningful relationships, increasing community participation, empowering people as decision-makers, and teaching new skills. The employee must have at least one year of service.
James Bavosi and Jennifer Gendron
The Kevin McMullen Memorial Award is presented to an employee in any position who demonstrates a 100% commitment to the people we support, who sees the best in every person and every situation, and gives unconditionally and is a positive role model.
Ron Carlson
The Volunteer Award has three recipients, one each for a person served by Residential, Day, and TRACS. The qualification is for contributing either to the agency (Human Rights, training, peer groups or other committees) or to the wider community.
Anatoliy Mereminskiy and Lisa Henderson
The Kathy Gilchrist Memorial Award is for a therapist in Children's Services who demonstrates unyielding devotion to children and their families, who always goes the extra step to make sure that children experience success, and who maintains a positive attitude at all times with children, families, and other team members.
